It's Nina G's birthday today. She is on the wrong side of 20. Surprisingly, she woke up this morning feeling - sublimely happy. It is the day she has been dreading of late. Her mantra for the day is - Age is just a number, Age is a state of mind. This mantra will be recited repeatedly throughout the day. She studies herself in the mirror - no, no wrinkles yet. Must be all that expensive high quality anti-ageing serums she's been bathing herself in. Erm...hang on, wait a minute, her laugh lines seems to be slightly more pronounced this morning. Are her eyes playing tricks on her? She feels her depression starting to sink in. She attempts to fight it.

She throws an expensive jar of serum at the mirror, pops a pill and storms out the door. She puts her i-pod on - randomly, Britney Spear's 'I'm not a girl, Not yet a woman' came on. How spiteful.
